This Guy’s Toddler Is A Guru

For your Monday evening consideration,

Have you ever met/lurked those people who just seem to have the Midas Touch? Like they have this sixth sense about themselves in whatever they do.

Be it writing, be it business, whatever.

It’s as if they are “above” the conventional rules.

The good news is, you can be just like them. You too can amaze people with your “magic success powers” if you want.

The bad news is, that in order to do that you have to develop instinct.

And doing THAT is tough.

How To Turn Everything You Touch Into Gold

Let me throw some Words of Wisdom on developing “instinct” from one of my favorite writers your way:

“Our toddler has this thing where, when he tries something the first time and isn’t immediately performing that task at superhero levels, he gets really frustrated. So we have to keep drilling into him: practice, practice, practice. Yes, there exist those who can sit in front of a piano without ever having seen one before and end up playing a perfect concerto the first time, but those people are called ROBOTS and they must be destroyed before they learn to like the taste of human meat.”

The thing about “instinct” is that it isn’t exclusive to writing, or art, or anything.

There is such a thing as “Seller’s instinct”.

There is such a thing as “Business instinct”.

There is such a thing as “Entrepreneur’s instinct”.

And that advice for developing that “instinct” is the same no matter what you are pursuing:

“Do it as much as you can.
As fast as you can.
Finish your shit.
Hit your deadlines.
Try very hard not to suck.
The end.”
